Velo Retro is ready for its 12th anniversary year. The only retro and vintage cycling event in the English Lake District, where for one weekend, steel vintage bikes rule and retro cycling jerseys are cool!
Based in the small and very lovely market town of Ulverston and originally inspired by Eroica Italy, it's a festival of friendship. There’s no fence, it’s mostly free and there are no big corporate sponsors – Velo Retro is the authentic, friendly cycling event - where you arrive as strangers...and leave as friends!
Velo Retro is the only retro cycle event in the English Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The routes are spectacular - truly world-class! Vintage cycling as part of the Retro Rendezvous Festival, a full weekend of retro loveliness - what could be better?

About Ulverston
Ulverston, is a special rarity, a Cumbrian market town which has kept much of its traditional charm and character. About Us
Velo Retro was created by husband and wife team Ali and Alan Brenton. We rode Eroica Italy in 2013 and having ridden lots of other events, became hooked on the warmth, friendliness and magic of the vintage cycling scene.
We've organised lots of other events but Velo Retro is our baby, the one with a special place in our hearts. We want you to share the magic that we felt in that first trip, that's what we're all about.
